An Amber Experience in Wolverhampton
Mr. & Mrs. S of Wolverhampton asked Amber Windows to replace their old windows and doors. Amber completed the installation on the 17th April 2018. They have replaced all of their Windows, a Porch Door and a Rear Door which have totally transformed their home. Here is a summary of their Amber experience:
1. Free no obligation quote
Our initial contact with Mr & Mrs S was on the 17th March 2018. An appointment was booked for the 20th March for one of our design consultants to visit Mr & Mrs S to discuss their requirements in more detail. Our design consultant presented our range of home improvement products which best suited their needs and budget. Mr. & Mrs. S were able to see and touch samples of our products to further assist with their decision. Mr. & Mrs. S chose from our Traditional Range of uPVC Double Glazed Windows finished in white with a variety of openers. They chose a white Composite Rear Door from our Dovedale Collection and a black Composite Porch Door from our Castleton Collection. They requested a free no obligation quotation for a total of 7 windows, including a 3 sided bow window to the lounge and 2 composite doors. An order for the replacement windows and doors was placed by Mr. & Mrs. S. A further appointment was made to arrange a full technical survey to take place on the 27th March.
2. A technical survey was carried out
On the 27th March our surveyor visited the property of Mr & Mrs S to perform a detailed survey to validate their chosen products to ensure that the products could be manufactured to their required specification and specific sizes. Detailed measurements and a series of photographs were taken. A detailed survey report was produced which included details of all ordered windows and doors including measurements, location of window openings, type of glass and window cill requirements. Our surveyor explained his findings in details to Mr & Mrs S. No additional requirements or costs were identified and Mr & Mrs S signed off the survey on the 27th March 2018. An installation date of the 16th April 2018 was agreed.
3. Products manufactured
Following their survey the ordered product requirements were input into our computer based design system which feeds into the manufacturing process. Mr & Mrs S’s products were made to order in our state of the art purpose built manufacturing centre based in Coleshill using the latest technology and quality processes which have been ISO 9001 accredited ensuring that quality is built into our manufacturing process at every stage.
4. Products installed
On the 16th April 2018 our installation team consisting of 3 Fitters arrived at the home of Mr & Mrs S to carry out the installation of their new windows and doors. The first stage of the process was to lay dust sheets and covers prior to the removal of the existing windows and doors, which would be taken away as each window was replaced to be recycled by Amber Windows. The replacement windows and doors were then installed over a period of 2 days, with a total of 7 windows including a 3 sided bow window and 2 replacement composite doors being fitted. As part of our service, all debris, packaging and old products were removed from their property. Following the installation Mr & Mrs S inspected the work carried out and were shown how to operate the new windows and doors. They confirmed that they were happy with the work carried out and subsequently signed all the necessary acceptance paper work.
5. Your guarantee
Mr & Mrs S received a comprehensive 10-Year Guarantee on parts and labour for all of their installed windows and doors, all our guarantees are also double indemnified by either an Insurance Backed Gurantee or a Section 75 Consumer Credit Backed Guarantee.
6. Customer Service
Mr & Mrs S received a right first time call on the 18th April 2018 from our Right First Time Department to ensure that their Amber experience had gone to plan and that they were satisfied with the service we had provided. It is also confirmed at this point that in the unlikely event of there being an issue with their installation they will be able to contact our dedicated Customer Support team who will organise a resolution in a timely and professional manner. Mrs S was very pleased with her new windows and doors and identified a couple of minor issues which required our attention which were dealt with by our Customer Services team straight away.
